Starchitecture firm Herzog & de Meuron's planned condo tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Jade Signature, might be too big for its britches, according to a Federal Aviation Administration memo posted on exMiami. The Feds think its 642 foot height might pose "an adverse physical or electromagnetic interference" to passing jets and are therefore very concerned. BTdubs, we hear from an unverified source that fellow starchitect Zaha Hadid's downtown tower will get an exemption if proposed lower height limits are instituted.
