The new temporary Louis Vuitton store in the Design District - awesome photos are above, from TheHundreds.com - complete with a facade painted by L.A. street artist RETNA, opened on Thursday, with an opening party we weren't invited to. That could be considered the fateful day the neighborhood jumped the threshold and became an actual mall. Yes, Design District denizens, your neighborhood is now an artsy, very cool, faintly SoHo-esque mall.
