Dubai Import Toro Toro Open; One Year at Pubbelly Sushi

This week's top dish from Eater Miami, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

OPENING ALERT— Dubai's very own Toro Toro, a pan-Latin steakhouse by James Beard-nominated chef Richard Sandoval, opened yesterday inside the newly redone InterContinental Miami. This is Sandoval's second Miami restaurant- the first being Kokoriko Natural Rotisserie in Brickell. The very meat and seafood-based menu is more affordable than one would think coming from a restaurant with origins in Dubai.

ONE YEAR IN— Eater sat down with the guys from Pubbelly Sushi, who just celebrated their first year in Sunset Harbor. They discussed the easy and not-so-easy things they've dealt with in the past year, and plans for further expansion beyond the current four South Beach restaurants in the Pubbelly empire.

PLYWOOD REPORT— It looks like the recently opened Buddha Sushi Bar is already opening a second location. Soon, Lincoln Road will be getting some floating sushi boats to go with the beers next door at Finnegan's.
