Too Early For Rum & Coke At The Bacardi Building Handover

Event: Handover of the Bacardi Building this morning.
In The House: Starchitect Frank Gehry, rich lady Lin Arison (cofounder of YoungArts with her late husband - who also started Carnival Cruise Lines - Ted), Bacardi family members, lots of nonprofit types, and plenty of media.
Dress Code: Nonprofit dressy, with arts supporters in smart suits and little black dresses, most everyone perspiring heavily in the blazing sun.
Menu: Simple breakfast fare, with fruit salad, mini croissants, and mini guava pastries. Coffee and OJ, but no Bacardi in sight. It was early.
Performance: A few arts beneficiaries performed a duet, and an acrobatic show.
Overheard: "Thank you Mr. Bacardi. I won't mess it up." - Frank Gehry
