Jorge Perez, who isn't all that old, seems awfully concerned with his legacy these days. One Ocean, that Enrique Norten-designed project on the lower end of Ocean Drive that Perez's Related Group is doing is apparently meant to cement his legacy on Miami Beach. It certainly will be spectacular enough, with landscaping and a park designed by Enzo Enea, retail, a grand public breezeway, rooftop gardens and solariums, and enough art to found a small museum. Funny, before the crash, Perez had intended the vastly larger Icon Brickell to have the same legacy affirming purpose, and it made him go bankrupt. [SFBJ]
