Fatio's Houses

New, 1 comment

A mediterranean revival house that classic Palm Beach architect Maurice Fatio designed and built for himself at 240 Jungle Road is pending historic designation up in Palm Beach Town. He was very much a society architect for that upper crusty island, designing houses for everyone from the Vanderbilts, to the Wideners, and even Otto Kahn and Marjorie Merriweather Post (No, not Mar-A-Lago). But whatever his societal standing, Fatio designed luxurious and beautiful homes throughout South Florida, including plenty in just as wealthy, but not as socially august (automotive heirs, humph!) Miami Beach. [Palm Beach Daily News]
