Shock rippled through the neighborhood, as one of Miami's most beloved little public spaces - Oak Plaza - was demoed in the Design District for DACRA's as yet unknown redevelopment plan. Then that new plan was announced, people wowed, and Oak Plaza practically forgotten about thanks to Miamians' short attention spans. But the Oaks were still there, protected by orange barricade tape. Now they're gone. Not even transplanted, but hacked to bits. Hacked. To. Bits.
