Scotty's Landing will get to see another day, but not so many more after that. City commissioners voted to temporarily extend their agreement with the Coconut Grove local's dive as well as the Grove Key Marina which shares the waterfront site. This is in the wake of a search for a new tenant mired in corruption accusations that resulted in all of the RFPs getting thrown out, as well as the discovery that Scotty himself (Scott Wessel) owed millions in back taxes. The city plans to restart the bidding process for a new tenant later this month, which voters will then have to approve by referendum. [Miami Herald, via New Times; previously]
