The big block which we've called the "CenTrust Gravestone" that made a mysterious appearance downtown, is apparently owned by artist George Sánchez-Calderon. It's a relic from former CenTrust Savings & Loan. That's according to at least three different sources, who also inform us that he's been trying, with limited success, to find something to do with the stone. Maybe an art institution to take it off his hands? At the moment, it's impromptu public art. [Curbedwire]
