Wilton Manors, the second gayest city in America according to U.S. Census data, wants a Tri-Rail station, and they want it bad. Although not in the list of the first 20 stations to be constructed on the new line, the town has rezoned everything adjacent to the would-be station location for higher, mixed-use density, they have an active commercial and nightlife area in walking distance, and they'll even pay for its operation and maintenance. No rainbow color scheme necessary, although it would be a plus. [Sun Sentinel]
