Norman Foster's New NYPL; Ricky Martin Buys In The UES

1) Midtown: Everyone lost their marbles when the New York Public Library finally unveiled the Norman Foster's designs for the institute's $300 million makeover. Foster plans to replace seven levels of book stacks with a wide open atrium.

2) Yorkville: Ricky Martin is now livin' la vida loca on the Upper East Side. The latin pop star dropped $5.9 million on a 4-bedroom, 3,150-square-foot pad at 170 East End Avenue.

3) Manhattan: New York's ritziest hotels got dressed to the nine for the holiday season. One even features a taxidermic polar bear and snow leopard.

4) Murray Hill: This lovely townhouse has a private garden, ornate fireplaces, and a "four seasons room." At $4 million, it seems like a steal, but there's a catch: the rooms are barely 12-feet wide.
