The Frost Museum Of Science Is Making Progress

New, 7 comments

Construction of the new Frost Museum of Science (formerly known as the Miami Science Museum) in Museum Park is progressing, and the building has just begun to rise from the ground as its next door neighbor, the Perez Art Museum Miami, gets closer and closer to completion. Here's the most recent still from the Frost's construction webcam. (it's updated every 15 minutes). The finished design, by London-based firm Grimshaw Architects promises to be pretty spectacular, with a planetarium inside a big elevated sphere that will have lighting displays inside and out, and an event space with a hug glass oculus that looks into the shark tank above it.
