Held Together With Chewing Gum

The Miami-Dade County Water Dept. has a big sewage problem. Miami's 7,500 miles of sewer lines are in decrepit shape, frequently fracturing and spilling raw sewage into Biscayne Bay and other aquatic areas. This comes two decades after Feds imposed the largest fines at the time on Dade County for ignoring the Clean Water Act. [Miami Herald]
