The Taj Miami of Leona Helmsley And A Sheik Is $4.2 Million

New, 1 comment

Leona and Harry Helmesley had just completed their new Miami home, a three level penthouse on top of the Arquitectonica designed Palace Condominium, in 1981, when not even having moved in yet they sold it to Saudi Sheik Al-Shaalan. The Sheik turned it into an arabian palace with the help of twenty seven Moroccan craftsmen, but hardly spent much time there, until selling it to an antique weapons collector, Anthony Tirri, who filled it with Muslim weapons, furniture, and art. Now, the Moroccan sky palace (on top of the Palace condos) is back on the market for $4.2 Million dollars. The five bedrooms and five baths are spread over 5,000 square feet on three levels, with a huge roof terrace that covers the entire width of the building.
