José Andrés Uncages The Bazaar; Tudor House to Shut Down

This week's top dish from Eater Miami, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

SOUTH BEACH - After plenty of hype, José Andrés has unleashed his adventurous and futuristic creations with the official opening of his Miami outpost of The Bazaar in the SLS Hotel on South Beach. While the menu is ever-changing, Andrés mixes distinct cultures, in his words "The Bazaar is a place where cultures meet", throughout the behemoth of a tapas menu featuring over 60 dishes.

SOUTH BEACH - Geoffrey Zakarian's American bistro, Tudor House, in the Dream South Beach Hotel will close their doors at the end of the summer, with Zakarian divesting his interest in the restaurant back to hotel owner Sant Chatwal. While it's the end of Tudor House in Miami, Zakarian will now focus on other projects with the hope of returning to South Florida.

SOUTH BEACH - Katsuya by Starck, which officially opened at the end of last week, is another LA import to make its way into the SLS on South Beach, thanks to designer Philippe Starck and sushi chef Katsuya Uechi.

WYNWOOD - Myron Mixon, the man behind Jack's Old South barbecue and a highly decorated barbecue competitor, is bringing his talents to Wynwood. A tipster told us that Pride and Joy BBQ is rumored to open in September on North Miami avenue.

FLASHBACKS - Occasionally, we like to look back on other periods of Miami dining. The Seven Seas Restaurant and Marine Cocktail Lounge was a Miami legend, opening in 1913 and lasting well into the 50s.
