$1 Billion Brickell CitiCentre Breaks Ground Wednesday

New, 1 comment

Brickell CitiCentre, the 5 million square foot, three-and-a-half block mixed use megaproject that will include 520,000 square feet of high end retail, two condo towers, a hotel tower, and two office towers, oh and an underground parking garage that is being built by some process that freezes groundwater, is breaking ground on Wednesday. The entire ginormous complex will be linked by bridges, and what looks like an origami-like sunshade ribbon that wraps over the open-air mall, and will connect directly to the downtown metromover. Brickell is already the densest neighborhood south of New York, but if any one project can be shown as a marquee example of the Manhattanization of Miami, this is it.
