The last large chunk of undeveloped riverfront land in Brickell was just purchased by the same developer, Carlos Mattos, who recently bought nearby Tobacco Road, for $28.2 million. That's a mighty fine price for the Brickell Green Space land, between S. Miami Avenue and the Metromover, that parks activists have been campaigning to preserve as a public park. There's been no word yet on what he'll ultimately do with this or the Tobacco Road land, or whether or not the land will remain green (but, sadly, we doubt it).
