Midtown Green Space In Limbo Worse Than Death

This sign will break a thousand hearts. The empty lot in the middle of Midtown sometimes called Midtown Green Space, for lack of a better moniker, has become something of a neighborhood symbol, and a few have attempted a rallying cry for its preservation as a park amid Midtown's condo towers. Ideas and proposals have been floated. Art Basel satellite fairs have used it as a central green. The World Gardens project was a fiasco, and in the end nothing happened. It was just left empty and grassy, waiting for the economy to recover, and a new shopping mall to be built in its place.
