We Have More New Skyscrapers Than You*

*Unless you're New York City

Architectural Record rated the top ten areas for high-rise construction in the U.S. (meaning 20 floors or more), and Miami came in at a solid second place, building 145 of them since 2000. That's 25 more tall than our brethren in third place, Chicago, the city where skyscrapers were born, since 2000. Ok, yes, it was a total defeat to the first place winner, New York City, but come on! It's New York. That place eats 20 story buildings for breakfast.
