SHAKE SHACK - After opening up his second Florida outpost of Shake Shack in Coral Gables last month, Danny Meyer has announced plans to open up Shake Shack Boca Raton, directly across from FAU. The newest Shake Shack, slated to open in mid-2013, will be located in the University Commons shopping center at 1400 Glades Road.
MIDTOWN - The threesome behind The Federal and Phuc Yea! - Alejandro Ortiz, Aniece Meinhold and Cesar Zapata - are set to open an artisanal bakery and cafe, ACME Bakery and Coffee, in Midtown. "More reminiscent of an ‘old time general store’ counter than the conventional refrigerated display", ACME will serve up cakes, pastries, tarts, home-made candies and breads with such early items including pecan sticky-buns, meyer-lemon tarts and bundt cakes.

BRICKELL - Earlier in the week, a sign was discovered posted throughout NFL linebacker Jonathan Vilma's barbecue joint, Brother Jimmy's, banning NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell from dining at the restaurant, reading "DO NOT SERVE THIS MAN".
