Florida In Florida

How long has Richard Florida, the famous urban theorist and philosophe of the "creative class" had a winter place in Miami Beach? Maybe for like a year? Well, Miami Herald urban affairs flaneur Andres Viglucci has decided now's a good time to interview the old chap, in the summer. And, would you believe it, Viglucci was in luck, because Florida was in town! What does our appropriately-surnamed (yes, his name is Florida) urban philosphe have to say about our fair city? Well, we've got a long way to go, but we're wayyy past the tipping point, and he loves it. Oh, and the warm weather doesn't hurt either. [Miami Herald]
