Now that the MIA Metrorail Station is open for business, the action at the Miami Intermodal Center is now next door, at the grandly named Miami Central Station, the future Amtrak and Tri-Rail hub. The Florida Dept. of Transportation has new shots in a construction progress report, which should make convenient reading while you're recovering from neck strain from trying to look out the windows of a passing Metrorail train. We can see that pylons for the Central Station's elevated concourse are up, leaving generous gaps where train lines will eventually pass, and the ground transportation hub (Greyhound, other buses, that kind of thing) is beginning to take shape, while other bits and bobs are happening around the construction site.
