It seems there is foever more retail being built in the general vicinity of Lincoln Road, turning what was once 'just' a shopping street into pretty much an entire shopping district extending multiple blocks north and - if there wasn't so much pesky residential already in the way - multiple blocks south. This time developer Scott Robins (brother of Design District scion Craig Robins, and by no means a real estate lightweight himself) is putting up a fetching three-story frosted glass structure designed by Arquitectonica, with retail on the lower floors, and a restaurant on the roof, at 1000 17th Street called the 1000 Building, just around the corner from the much, much anticipated Lincoln Lane North project.
