Cocoplum Circle Gets A New Bright Red Pedestrian Bridge

New, 1 comment

A brand-spanking-new prefabricated bright red pedestrian bridge was just lowered into place over the Coral Gables Waterway at Cocoplum Circle, creating the terminus for the five mile Commodore Trail, popular with bicyclists and joggers. The trail links Alice Wainwright Park, in Coconut Grove, to Cocoplum Circle. A reader sent in a shot of it being trucked to the site. After years of planning (bureaucracy takes forever, doesn't it?), the 162 feet long and 12 feet wide bridge should finally be completed by the end of January 2013.
