New renders of the Porsche Design Tower fill us in on the look of the building's lobby, lounge, restaurant, front drive, parts of the exterior, and one of the units. Not only will residents live in a building named after a car company, they will be living amongst their luxury cars pretty much anywhere in the building they go. Absolutely prominent in most of the images are the monumental glass car elevators/tube in the center of the building. From the lobby, which wraps around the giant, slightly phallic, shaft, it ascends upward past a large exterior terrace that slices into the tower's cylindrical bulk, giving riders ensconced in their vertically-ascending cars a dramatic city view. Continuing with the 'internal combustion engine' aesthetic, double-height living rooms in the residential units will have impractical-for-Miami fireplaces, and an oversized, bonfire sized marble hearth will sit in the lounge.
