Stately 1928 Morningside Med Revival For $1.65 Million

New, 1 comment

This large, $1.65 million mediterranean revival house in Morningside, Miami's first nationally designated historic district, clocks in at almost 5,000 square feet. That footage must be distributed pretty well, because it's got a very large side yard, complete with pool, lots of grass, and dense foliage to block peeping neighbors from getting a look at your saucy pool parties. But you'll be able to see all the action from the second floor loggia, which looks out over the courtyard, the yard, and the pool. It was built in 1928, which means it's just dripping in historic details, like a spanish wrote iron street lamp at the foot of the staircase, and a great big fireplace (a rarity in South Florida) in the living room. It's got 6 bedrooms, and 3.5 baths, a proportion that sounds a bit diminutive for a 'luxury' listing, but grow up a little. People can share, and anyways, you get a great historic house in the balance.
