Founded by nightclub-man Brad Knoefler, it was the little park that could. Grand Central Park, built on the former site of the Miami Arena, heralded the beginning of a mini-renaissance for Miami's parks, and now it just might be turned into 1,400 condos. The Herald gossip column reports that a sale is in the works between landowner Glenn Straub (whom Knoefler is renting from) and Art Falcone of the Falcone Group, who has a major interest in Miami Worldcenter, a megaproject slated to be built, eventually, right next door, putting the future of Grand Central Park even more in doubt.
