Walmart has, again, redesigned the plans for its Midtown store and all the Miami Herald has are these dinky little renderings. The new plans add a 'buffer' of four to six retail or restaurant spaces along Midtown Boulevard that would be a joint venture between Walmart and Midtown Opportunities, the owner of the majority of Midtown's undeveloped property. If Walmart can placate enough neighborhood activists with this final plan, they hope to start construction this summer, with the mammoth store opening before the end of 2014. [Miami Herald]
