Is Miami-Based Eastern Airlines Taking To The Skies Again?

New, 29 comments

The defunct Miami-based Eastern Air Lines, straight from those glamour days of plane travel now seen only on broadway and Mad Men reruns, may (yes, may) be returning to the skies as early as sometime in 2013. The news was spilled by those around Chinese jet manufacturer COMAC, which will likely supply the planes for the new company. Eastern will then be the first American air line to use Chinese passenger jets, just as it once was the first to use European Airbus planes. And, yes, the new Eastern Air Lines will still be based out of Miami.
