Who was Johnny Brown? He was legendary Palm Beach architect Addison Mizner's pet spider monkey, a monkey that became so well known in Palm Beach society that it ran for Mayor. The monkey ran for Mayor! Although he and Addison are both long gone, there's still a restaurant named after Johnny Brown in Delray Beach, a town not particularly known for its Mizner architecture, unfortunately.
