Rosie O'Donnell, who had originally put her Star Island manse on the market earlier this year for $19.5 million, has dropped the price to $17.5 mill. The house, which was famously the headquarters of the Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church, a massive marijuana cartel claiming to be its own religion in the 1970s, had been substantially altered since O'Donnell's purchase in 1999. So, why in this hot market is it lingering and doing the pricechop boogy? Maybe the new red tile roof, beige stucco walls, inland additions, and a-celebrity-slept-here cache haven't been enough to shed the house's pot besmirched past. Or maybe some pissed off potheads cursed the place. Either way, Rosie's hoping it only costs her $2 million bucks.
