Home Movies Of Old Florida; The Priciest Palm Beach Estates

MIAMI SHORES—It's vintage home movie day at the Lynn & Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives this Saturday. The archives will be showing old home movies from South Florida depicting such quaint Floridian pursuits as coconut opening, parrot watching, and amateur alligator wrestling at the O Cinema at Miami Theater Center in Miami Shores beginning at 3 PM as part of the Miami Shores Green Day festivities. Also on the video queue, old films of Miami's environmentalist movement. Do check out more home movies, a look at Miami's first Earth Day (featuring the Dead Orange Parade), and an electric contraption called El Car, after the jump.

PALM BEACH TOWN—The priciest real estate now on the market in blue blood Palm Beach includes a huge and historic $51.5 million estate by iconic Palm Beach architect Addison Mizner with later additions by Marion Sims Wyeth and a $47.8 million compound that includes a cottage once owned by Jimmy Buffet. We covered the Mizner/Wyeth, which is called Villa Tranquilla, here.
