Everyone and their sister is reporting that Gloria Estefan is renting out an absolutely adorable guest house she owns on Star Island for $30,000 a month, or the whole guest and main house spread for the even grander sum of $75,000 a month, like it's some new thing, which apparently it is until you Google it. Both are at 1 Star Island Drive, a place in the called Nena's Villa. (or Nena Villas, we've seen variations on the spelling) And it looks like Gloria herself have been renting out both for quite some time. Years, maybe.
The whole compound is on the south side of the island. The guest house is a really, really pretty little "Floridian Villa" and has a private-ish entrance with its own front door and its own section of the driveway, but you've still got to use the same front gate, and it's separated from the water by what looks like a garage. Next up, the two story waterfront "Floridian Villa" main house, for rent at $75,000 a month, would include the guest house, of course. The listing photos available for both places are, surprisingly, quite ancient. Just look at that gate, which has been replaced by a new model, and the TVs! It looks like Gloria has been renting them out for years.
The property sports a circular driveway, fetching landscaping, an outdoor kitchen, a waterfront view of the MacArthur Causeway and the Port of Miami, a pool, two hot tubs, and daily maid service.
Gloria and Emilio Estefan themselves are six houses up at 39 Star Island Drive, in a two house Mediterranean Revival compound on the other side of the island with tennis court next door to the next door neighbor of Real Housewife Lisa Hochstein's historic 'teardown' at 42 Star Island Drive. No she doesn't live at the very grand 40 Star Island Drive, now on the market for a bonkers (and unrealistic, we hear) $35 million. She lives next door, where the combination of two less grand but still very nice houses are in her and Emilio's names.
