Miami commissioners approved a Walmart in the center of Midtown over objections that a big box store would clash with the rest of the carefully designed new neighborhood. The world's biggest retailer plans to build a 203,000-square-foot, three-story superstore, with 577 parking spaces and several loading bays on a site between Northeast 29th and 31st streets.
