Original Mizner Palm Beach Estate, El Castillo, Asks $26.4M

New, 7 comments

Curbed National takes a look at Palm Beach's historic El Castillo, designed by Addison Mizner in 1920, with a five story keep addition also by Mizner added in 1929. It's on the market for $26.4 million. During the construction of the house Mizner, always with an eye for detail, used construction elements including terra cotta tiles and ironwork produced by his own Mizner Industries. The house received an award-winning restoration in 2009, including the addition of a new wing. Up atop the keep, behind the turreted battlements, there's a wet bar.
