Related's Three Tower Megaproject At 444 Brickell Will Be Designed By Cesar Pelli And Outdo Icon Brickell

New, 3 comments

Wouldn't it be crazy if every day this week a new starchitecture-designed megaproject was announced for Miami? Yesterday there was Rem Koolhaas in the Grove, and today there's Cesar Pelli designing a three-towered monument to Jorge Perez mega at the site of 444 Brickell Avenue and the parking lot behind it, the site that Related reportedly spent $100 Million on. Arquitectonica will be working on it too.

The whole shebang will be called One Brickell. The towers, at 80, 70, and 55 stories, will be way taller tha Jorge's other legacy-making (and folly of the recession, lest we not forget how empty that place was for a while) project across the street, Icon Brickell. Stats include 1,200 residential units, a 200+ room five star hotel, 200,000 square feet of office space, and an extension of the Riverwalk along the Miami River.
