First Look At The Finished Perez Art Museum Miami

New, 13 comments

Finally, after long last, the Perez Art Museum Miami is opening to the public today with a little ribbon cutting ceremony. The Herzog & de Meuron-designed building is a monumental achievement and will probably be packed for the entirety of Art Basel with many lovers (the accolades are pouring in) and some haters. (those people that won't stop complaining about losing the horrid Bicentennial Park) The museum is free all week, although since the garage underneath it isn't finished parking is a bit of a situation. Either do valet for $10 and drive right up to the front door, or park somewhere else and take the Metromover to the new Museum Park Station, which also just opened, and walk over.
