Paris gallery owner Patrick Seguin is exhibiting one of his 17 houses by French metal worker and architect Jean Prouvé at Design Miami through Sunday, furnished with pieces by Prouvé and Pierre Jeanneret. The 8X8 (meters) house is easily assembled and taken apart, Prouvé's solution to France's postwar housing crisis. Seguin had workers pack the 1945 house into 10 crates and send it to Miami, its American debut. It's a cool little beach house with a $2.5 million price tag. [New York Times]
