Will A Giant Marriott Replace Downtown's Grand Central Park?

New, 3 comments

Holy crap, the lead designer at Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe, one of Miami's big corporate architecture firms, has just posted a video on YouTube that shows a 3D flyover of a skyscraper on the current site of Grand Central Park with the title "Marriott at MWC" (thanks to exMiami for digging it up). If this is an actual thing, and not just an architect's dream, then this is biiiiig news. Grand Central Park, which was purchased last year by the Miami Worldcenter people, could be replaced by a really fricken big hotel right next to the Florida East Coast Railway's planned monumental downtown Miami station, across the street.
