Alchemist, Lincoln Road's avant garde clothing store, has opened their new space designed by Rene Gonzalez with an artistic bench installation by Zaha Hadid in a deep, almost sickly yellow. Archdaily took a tour. The store itself is basically a very angular cocoon of melamine foam with recessed color-changing LED strips, while Zaha Hadid's benches - which earlier reports had said would be a juice bar - are zoomy and positioned triumphantly in the middle of the space.
