Met Square's Mondrianic Nightmare Gets Even Worse

New, 11 comments

Elevations for the Met Square tower - on one of the most prominent sites in Miami - were recently released on exMiami, showing a watered down version of the building's abstract box-on-box facade design, with small windows by Miami standards, no balconies, and large sections of blank, undecorated wall space. Comments on the design over at exMiami were universally negative and the design is currently being reviewed by the city, although no additional commission or review board approvals are needed, so this thing is most likely going ahead as planned. It will include a large hotel (apparently a midrange Marriott), a theater, and lots of restaurant space. All parking will be located at neighboring Met 3.
