After the Florida Department of Transportation spent years planning a monumental flying land bridge to replace the span of I-395 that passes over Biscayne Boulevard, Mayor Regalado and Commissioner Marc Sarnoff are suing FDOT for replacing that design - called the "wishbone arch" - with one - the "segmented box" - that is, simply put, crap. "It's the classic bait and switch" says Sarnoff, who says the department only proposed the superior design to gain public support and needed funding before drastically changing gears to something so much more blah. "They are saying this is the signature bridge and this is the one you support," Sarnoff also said. "They are actually lying to organizations that may not know better."
