A religious group has begun building a wooden replica of Noah's Ark in Hialeah that they plan to use as an "online zoo" and environmental teaching center called HiddenArk. Blueprints on the group's website show a petting zoo, dining area, veterinary hospital, shops, and a giant wooden barge with small windows in which animals will live and be videoed 24/7, as a sort of zoo via webcam. They plan to take in "Animals from the street, animals that are hurt, animals that no one can take care of... We are not predicting the end of the world. No big floods." said Carolina Paralta, one of the group's members, to NBC 6. Translation: no, this giant boat for animals has nothing to do with global warming.
