South Beach ACE Public Forum 03 (March 27, 2013) from OMA on Vimeo.
Following up on our latest look at the two competing Miami Beach Convention Center proposals, the team of South Beach-ACE, who's designers consist of starchitect Rem Koolhaas and his Office for Metropolitan Architecture as well as landscape architects Raymond Jungles and Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates and... well, more people (including the ever-so-awesome Robert Wennett who developed 1111) have released a slick video flythrough of their plans, and sent over a series of renderings showing them off in more detail. Play the video above and check out our description of the latest South Beach-ACE plans over here. And we've got new renderings and plans, after the jump.
These hot-off-the-press renderings reveal a few new interesting details about the plan, including:
1) Fountain rooms
2) A wedding garden
3) Major landscaping for Lincoln Lane North
4) Climbing walls
5) A giant hill they're calling 'Prospect Hill' would no doubt would be the highest land formation in South Florida at 74 feet high if it weren't fake and covering a parking garage.
