It would be Miami's most awe inspiring ruin if people could leave it alone, to crumble away in modernist, graffiti-covered glory, but that no longer seems to be the fate of the Miami Marine Stadium, one of Miami's most loved structures. In fact, far from being abandoned, this architectural masterpiece seems to be constantly overrun by people, from explorers, skateboarders, graffiti artists, and preservationists, to parkour athletes. Just today, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Friends of Miami Marine Stadium organized a tour with the architect of the building, Hilario Candela, giving media types a look at the structure in its current state, and we tagged along. Check out the pictures above, and for more information, head on over to the Friends of Miami Marine Stadium's website.
