As mybrickell, the Related Group's psychedelically-colored-and-oddly-named residential tower designed by Karim Rashid and Arquitectonica, going up in Brickell, finishes things up, the building's crane - which was the first crane to rise in Downtown/Brickell since the last real esate boom - says bye, bye. The crane is coming down to seek other adventures, to build other buildings, to loom over other skylines, and to do all the things God, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or whoever, intended it to do. Meanwhile, with CityCentre happening across the street, there are lots of new cranes in the 'hood. Farewell fair crane. May you have many tower building years to come. Or may you be melted down into something cool, like a battleship.
