Cesar Morales To Open Pizzeria; Radio Bar Now Permanent

The hot toddy from Eater Miami...

1) Wynwood: Wood Tavern's owner, Cesar Morales, is about to open up a pizzeria in the building behind Wood. Plans are for the spot to be gourmet without the gourmet prices. He's also opening up a convenience shop that'll be open within the next 90 days. The pizzeria will take three to six months.

2) Miami Beach: Menin Hotels has taken over Radio Pop-Up Bar and turned it into a permanent establishment. They've brought in James Beard nominee Craig Schoettler as their mixologist and rolled out some new deals.

3) Coral Gables: After leaving The Local, Alberto Cabrera planned to open Frita Shop, a fast-food Cuban burger joint, but had difficulties getting the idea off the ground. Meanwhile he opened Bread + Butter, but now Cabrera's found a spot for Frita Shop on the corner of Ponce de Leon Blvd. and Salamanca Ave. and plans to have the spot open this summer
