The City has given the A-OK to auto sales magnet, political activist, and billionaire Norman Braman to build an almost 100,000 square foot auto showroom and seven story parking garage on the very primed and very valuable Biscayne Boulevard site of his huge, but mostly one-or-two story dealership according to the Miami Herald. A street-level showroom with large glass windows will be surmounted by the parking garage, sheathed in murals created by art students from the YoungArts Foundation, whose new campus is being designed by Frank Gehry for the historic Bacardi Building next door.
