As quickly as the Marriott Edition sued over their boardwalk, the whole thing was settled, according to the Miami Herald. The boardwalk will be partially demolished to allow the hotel's construction to continue. In return, the hotel will revise its plans for a new beachside walkway that addresses residents' concerns. Meanwhile, residents are asking for an elevated walkway with ocean views, in a material that's easy on joggers feet. And we thought the boardwalk kerfuffle was an historic preservation thing.
