Demolition of the waterfront Miami Herald Building began today. Genting, the malaysian casino conglomerate, is removing nonstructural elements on the property presently, with plans to demolish the whole thing later this year.... instead of just doing it all at once. So, basically until then we'll have an ugly, half demolished barn to look at for the next few months, or however long it takes to demolish the rest of it. Yippee.
